MUD Africa implemented its first project in collaboration with the Malawian NGO Lilongwe Urban Poor People’s Network in 2012, followed by a project with the same name during 2013. This was the first project running over a longer time-frame and funded solely by MUD Africa and its members.
In short, Equal Land Rights for All 2015, was our third overall project. It was, thereto, the third project implemented within the partnership of MUD Africa and LUPPEN. The first two projects, implemented during 2012 and 2013, functioned as pre-studies and provided valuable baseline values for this project.
All projects implemented under the umbrella term: Equal Land Rights for All, aims to strengthen vulnerable women in Malawi and their right to land. The projects included activities such as education covering the land registration process and women rights.
